Total and Average Accounts Payable KPI

The accounts payable is a kind of credit that allows to pay afterwards when the product or services provided by suppliers to their customers has been already received. Total and average accounts payable KPI is accounting KPI that shows the total and average amounts that company owes to suppliers and should pay within agreed-upon time period. Among the purposes of using this KPI are the following: financial analysis, managing accounting transactions, calculation of Accounts Payable Turnover Ratio.

To calculate total and average accounts payable KPI please follow the steps below:

• Create the custom field "Accounts Payable":
  • Go to: Tools/Custom fields and press "Ins" button
  • In "Title" field enter "Accounts Payable"
  • In "Code" field enter "cf_accounts_payable"
  • In "Type" field select "Currency" and click "Ok" button



• If you need to view the total or average value of this KPI per particular project on Task List, filter your to-do list by task group with project tasks.



• To view the total or average accounts payable amount within certain time period set filter on Task List – Filters panel



• Set footer:
  • right click under column "Accounts Payable"
  • select "Sum" to display total amount of accounts payable



• select "Average" to display average amount of accounts payable



If you need to view the total or average value of this KPI on Task Tree, please follow the steps below:

• On Task Tree select root task group and select "Custom fields options"



• To enable the displaying of the total or average accounts payable select custom field "Accounts Payable" and  do the following:
  •  select Enable
  • check "Aggregated" (for task group)
  • to display the total accounts payable select "Sum" and the custom field name "Accounts Payable"



• to display the average accounts payable select "Average" and the custom field name "Accounts Payable"



• Select task group for which you need to view the total or average accounts payable, right click and select "Custom fields options"



• Select custom field "Accounts Payable" and select the option "Enable by parent".
