Percentage (number) of Open or Closed Tasks

This key performance indicator shows the percentage % and the amount of tasks that are still in the process of accomplishment (status "Open") and tasks that were successfully completed (status "Closed").  This KPI helps to define how much work is left to perform all assignments or close the project.

If you need to calculate the percentage (number) of open or closed tasks, please follow the steps below:

• Create your own workflow that would include statuses for open and closed tasks. As the example, your workflow may be based on the following statuses: in Progress – Overdue - Complete

• If you need to view the percentage (number) of open or closed tasks per particular project or resource, filter tasks by task group



• If you need to view the percentage (number) of open or closed tasks per particular resource and/or over some time span please set the appropriate filters on Task List – Filters panel



To view the percentage of open and closed tasks please do the following

• to group tasks by Status drag and drop column header "Status" to the top of your task list



• go to Charts panel and select "Pie diagram"



The percentage of tasks in "In Progress" status is the percentage of opened tasks. the percentage of tasks in "Complete" status is the percentage of closed tasks.

To view the number of opened or closed tasks please do the following:

• set filter by required status



• right click under column "Status" and select "Count"



Alternatively you can view the number of opened and closed tasks if you group task list by column "Status" and click "Expand All" button
