Overtime Cost Custom Field

Overtime Cost

Overtime Cost custom field shows the total expense for work in excess of regular work assigned to resource for all assigned tasks and projects or cost for total overtime work of group of resources assigned to task(s) or project (s).

The Overtime Cost depends on such units as:

• Actual Overtime Cost
• Remaining Overtime Cost

Once you enter the values for Actual Overtime Cost and Remaining Overtime Cost VIP Task Manager Professional calculates Overtime Cost automatically by the following formula:

Overtime Cost = Actual Overtime Cost + Remaining Overtime Cost

To create custom filed Overtime Cost please follow the steps below:

1. Create the following custom fields:

• Actual Overtime Cost
• Remaining Overtime Cost

2. Go to: Tools/Custom fields and press "Ins" button

3. in "Title" field enter "Overtime Cost"

4. in "Code" field enter "cf_overtime_cost"

5. In "Type" field select "Currency"

6. In "Formula" field enter the following formula:

$cf_actual_overtime_cost + $cf_remaining_overtime_cost

7. to display the value of custom field Overtime Cost on Task List or Task Tree please go to Task List or Task Tree, click Task List Columns or Task Tree Columns button   and check the custom field "Overtime Cost"
