Custom Workflow 27: New In Progress - QA Client Review Ready for Promotion Complete On-Hold
Duplicate Not Reproducible Works as Designed
If you need
to handle bugs, you can use the following workflow which is based on the
typical bug life cycle:
New
Task status
"New" shows the new bug is reported and it requires testing.
In Progress
Task Status "In Progress" shows that
the developers and technicians are currently working on fixing the bug.
QA
Task Status "QA" shows that QA department
is testing the new version of the program to make sure the bug has been fixed.
Client Review
Task Status
"Client Review" notifies that the client or users are reviewing the new fixed
version of the program.
Ready for Promotion
Task Status "Ready for Promotion" is displayed if this task notifies
about the bugs that are planned to be fixed in the future versions of the
program.
Complete
Task Status "Complete" means that the bug was successfully fixed.
According to your needs you can use the following sub-statuses of status
"Complete": On-Hold, Duplicate Not Reproducible, Works as Designed. Alternatively,
it is possible to use them as independent statuses.
On-Hold
Task can be marked with the
status "On-Hold" if there are some issues or events that do not allow to fix this bug now.

Duplicate Not Reproducible
Task is labeled as "Duplicate Not
Reproducible" if the QA department has failed to reproduce this bug by now.
Works as Designed
The task is rendered "Works as
Designed" if the bug was successfully fixed and the program works as it should.
To create
custom workflow using the statuses described above, please follow the steps
below:
Go to: Tools/Custom workflow
Click "New Workflow" button
In Name field enter custom
field name, for example, "Workflow 27".
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "New" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "In Progress" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the status name
"QA" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "Client Review" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "Ready for Promotion" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "Complete" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "On-Hold" in Name field and click "Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "Duplicate Not Reproducible" in Name field and click
"Ok" button.
Click "Ins" button, enter the
status name "Works as Designed" in Name field and click "Ok"
button.
