Cost 1-10

Cost 1-10 custom fields show any currency format information related to a task or a resource. For example, you add total estimated cost of a task by viewing custom field Cost and you would like to track the high and low estimated cost for a task or project.

 If you created custom fields Cost 1–10 when you set up VIP Task Manager Professional, you can rename one of these custom fields, for example, Cost 1 to "High Est. Cost" and add the highest value for this custom field or rename custom field "Cost 2" to "Low Est. Cost" and enter the lowest value for this custom field.

To create custom fields Cost 1-10 please follow the steps below:

1. Go to: Tools/Custom fields and press "Ins" button

2. in "Title" field enter "Cost 1", "Cost 2" or "Cost 3", etc.

3. in "Code" field enter "cf_cost_1", cf_cost_2" or "cf_cost_3", etc.

4. in "Type" field select "Currency" and click "Ok" button

5. to display the value of custom fields Cost 1-10 on Task List or Task Tree please go to Task List or Task Tree, click Task List Columns or Task Tree Columns button   and check the custom field "Cost 1", "Cost 2" or "Cost 3", etc.

6. to enter value of custom fields Cost 1-10 please do the following:

• Open a task and go to Custom Fields tab

• Enter the value for custom field "Cost 1", "Cost 2" or "Cost 3", etc. and click "Ok" button. For example, if you renamed "Cost 1" custom field to "High Est. Cost" and the highest estimated cost for a task is $1000 USD enter the value for this custom field.
