Sync with MS Outlook will be much better. |
I agree sync with MS outlook would be very powerful. This would allow users to take tasks on the road with PDAs and smart phones.

I was wondering if it is possible to use VIP Task Manager on mobile phones with windows. |
I agree. It would be really helpful to have a mobile application for either Windows Mobile or Palm OS. This would permit superviors to meet with staff members and review tasks without having to meet in front of a computer. It would also permit timely updates to task status.

I would like the ability to save a panel layout preference to a user's login. When a user logs in, their preferred panal layout preferences would be displayed. It might be powerful to save panel layouts based on roles. Supervisors may want one layout type vs. the staff members they supervise.
While the many panels in TMP allows for a significant amount of flexibility, it can be overwhelming to a begining user.

E-mail notifications
You guys have created a very flexible product. I am excited about the use of email and email's ability to increase interactions between staff.
My understanding is that an update will be coming in the next several months which includes e-mail notifications. I have a few suggestions. First, references to tasks in emails should be hyperlinks so the user could just click on the task to go to the task.
1. Have an option for email notifications to be sent in real time and have an option for notifications to be sent as a summary email 1 time per day.
2. The email notification should have the following headings
Notifications
Tasks with a change of status
Tasks overdue (for this user)
Tasks overdue (for watch list resources for this user)
3. Have an option where a supervisor could send out an email for a task status update for all tasks the user is on the watch list.
Thank you for your consideration.

Add ability to click on a link in the email to navigate to a task.
Hello Serge,
We have some staff members that are using the e-mail notification. Everyone agrees that the e-mail notification would be of more value if it worked simular to the notifications in Task Manager. Notifications are helpful because you can navigate to the task quickly by clicking on the notification. Otherwise, you have to open the Task Manager, and then locate the correct task before the task can be viewed.
Are there plans to add a feature like this in the near future?
Thank you for your consideration.

Charts
I have been unable to effectively build charts. Either there needs to be better documentation about how to use charts or it needs to be easier to implement.

Task Filters
Suggested Features:
It would be benefitial to have the ability to deploy a set of task filters to all users to choose from.
It would be benefitial to have the ability to see completed tasks for the current month and then have them filtered.
Task filters should be saved as part of the user's preferences. This would allow a user to use their saved task filters at another workstation.

When a user creates a new task for another user on the resource list, the assigned user on the resource list does not receive a notification that a task has been created for them. This has caused user's to be unaware that they have new tasks that have been assigned to them.
Request: Notify all user's selected on the resource list and watch list when a new task is created.
Thanks,
Craig |
