Evaluating this fine product and have some questions
- Is there a way that a user can be setup only to see their tasks and not a different user's tasks
- Can a task be dependent on the completion of a second
task ?
- Can a task be broken up to sub tasks
- Is there a way of defining a set of tasks to take place
between a start and end time and then based upon the estimated length of all the tasks, know if it cannot fit in to the alloted time
So if I have 5 tasks and each is estimated to take 5 hours and I set that they should all take place in a 2 day period it would show that the period can not accomodate all this work. Or generally it would show how much work is allocated to a period of time.
Thanks

| Yes, in VIP Task Manager Pro you can create a Task Group for this user and allow him to see the tasks only in this Task Group. |
But a category represents related tasks that could be done by 2 different resources and each should not see the other.

| Ath the moment no, it is not dependent. How you would like it to work in our application? |
Some tasks are dependent upon other tasks so it should be able to be specified as well and be able to view dependency.

As for the estimated time:
Yes, I think you can do this if you:
1. Set filter for this time period
2. Activate footer (right click on any column header)
3. Right click on footer under "estimated time" filed and select sum | I see. But can it be done graphicly in the calander? |

I tried it and it is a very nice. It seemed to only work when I was grouping tasks. does it work even for non grouped tasks?
Another question, If I set up groupings, filters, columns displayed - is there a way to save this entire setting, with a name which I then can reuse easily to recreate this view?
Thanks |

| I understand what feature you mean. It is called 'column layout'. |
I mean all the settings, column, filter, grouping, footer. Do you see that as doable in the next 2 or 3 months? |

We just purchased vip taskmanager pro, (we are really looking forward to using your great product), and would like to move our eval database to a different machine.
Can you outline the steps of how this is done? |
