I'm new at this and maybe I missed this somewhere, but I would like the ability to add attachments to Task Groups. I see that I can add them to tasks, but it would be more beneficial for me to be able to add them to the group at large.
By establishing a link in the Group, a user could pull up all the documents for a specific project or task group from our Document Management system.
I agree. This would be a great feature. For example, we have a document proofing cycle here. We set up a sub-group and add a task for each of the proofers. Then we have to create a link for each and every one of them. Sure would be handy if we could have the link be associated with the sub-group instead so we only have to make a single link for all members to use.
I can not but agree that this feature is quite useful and logical. Product manager also thinks so, however, the question is whether this feature can be added in one of the next updates. I added this request to the list. When the time comes for discussing the list and picking up the features for the update plan, it will be more obvious if it will be added to the plan or not. Thank you for suggestion.
Actually, maybe a work around that is a little clutsy but possible would be to simply make the first task in the subgroup a standard title such as "Sub Group File Links" and then to that task attach the links. Not the preferred method, but may accomplish till it is decided whether or not to add ability to acutal sub-group itself.
