We are interested in VIP TAsk Manager Professional because it allows for tasks te be organised in a hierarchical tree. However we like to see these features:
When all tasks in a task group are finished we would like to be able to set a Completed status on the task group itself. This would allow for the creation of a filter that doesn't show completed task groups in the tree view. Otherwise the tree view will grow very fast an become unusable.
We would like to be able to create subtasks on the fly instead of always creating taskgroups in advance. This has the extra advantage that you can create task dependencies: a tasks can only be started/completed when all subtasks are completed.
Looks like what I'm asking for is to make Task Groups the same objects as Tasks. When you create a subtask the task becomes a task group and can get displayed as a folder in the tree view.
(I realise this is a complex feature I'm asking for...).

This is really a complex feature and the plan for the next update is set, so we will try to add to the nearest update some of your requests, ex. converting tasks into task groups, if we have time.
I just found a product that has the features I requested: http://www.taskactions.com. It supports creating subtasks and hiding completed items in the tree view.
It would be nice to see these features in Taskmanager because I consider Taskmanager a more powerfull product.
