Filtering by date error

I am filtering by task range and due date and Task Manager continues to show tasks in the future. For example when filtering for 1-1-08 to 3-31-08 it continues to show tasks with a finish date of 5-1, 6-1 etc. It doesn't show past dates but continues to show future tasks.

What is the start date of tasks with finish date of 5-1, 6-1 etc.?
If the start date is between 1-1-08 and 3-31-08 these task will really be shown, because their start date is within the filter date range.

The start dates are 7-1, 8-1, 9-1 with a task filter of 1-1 to 3-31.
