#1
Hi,

Setup:
1. Administrator
2. Resource
3. Resource supervisor

I've setup a task for a certain resource.
- We have added a watch on the task
- We have added a watch on the resourse (at the superviser, and the administrator)

Problems found:
While logged in under the assigned resource we've changed the status:
- Only 1 of the users got a notification; the administrator
- The notification came only after applying the refresh

Additional question:
- It seems that notifications are sent based on a trigger, when does this trigger go off? Directly after creation or once every x minutes?

Thanks!

Our server checks if there are any notifications every one minute and once found, the client automatically gets them.

If I got it right:
1. There are 3 users: Resource, Supervisor and Administrator
2. The Resource is watched by Supervisor and Administrator
3. After the status of the task assigned to Resource was modified by Resource, only Administrator received the notification.

Questions:
1. Who is checked in Task watch list?
2. Who created the task?
3. Do you use default statuses or your own?
4. Is Administrator and Supervisor assigned to receive notifications of Status Change? (File menu \ Select 'Edit User Profile' option \ Select Notifications tab)

Serge

Hi Serge,

Thanks for the info on the trigger. Every one minute seems more then enough.

Concerning the test setup, yes you are right. By now, I have to admit that I might have overlooked some settings as they notifications are coming through. It also seems that the users find the notification itself (yellow text box in lower right corner) a bit too inconspicuous. They tend to overlook it. (perhaps we should use smaller screens Wink)

However, although perhaps logical, the person that initiated the notification only gets the notification when clicking on the refresh button. In the end, that specific user already knows what has changed.

BTW, thanks for the quick responses! Very much appreciated.

Hi Yuri,

Actually, the user that initiated the notification doesn't get this notification at all as when you change the task status to "Complete" you don't need one more notification of it to the Notifications panel Smile However, if you look through the Task Hystory you will find the record that at a certain time you made certain change.

Regards,
Serge
