database restore backup

Can I have Taskmanager pro on our server for office team to use and on my laptop so I can carry all current projects with me while out of office. This would allow me to see projects while on road without remote access to server even thoug they would only be as up to date as my last restore. When I return then update or restore the current server database and project status to my laptop files. Then logon to server with laptop to use as a user on server database on days I am in office.

Yes, you can achieve your goal. For this please follow the easy steps below:
1. Install VIP Task Manager Professional on your laptop selecting ‘Full installation’.
2. When nobody works in network on your server computer go to C:\Program Files\VIP Quality Software\VIP Task Manager Professional\Databases on your server computer and copy your database to the same place on you laptop(folder 'Databases').
3. On your laptop go to Start -> All programs -> VIP Quality Software - > VIP Task Manager Professional -> Database Manager and select ‘Databases’ tab.
4. Click ‘Register’ button:
a) enter database name into ‘Name:’ field. It will be a name of your root task group;
b) enter host name of your computer in the network into ‘Host:’ field;
c) enter the path to this database into ‘Database path:’ field and click ‘Ok’ button
5. Start up the application on your laptop. In Database Wizard window in the way for connection to server select check radio button 'Connect to server on this computer.
6. Click 'Next' button and select the database you registered.
7. Try to connect to your database.
