In Team To Do List, I was able to filter by group. This was very handy when wanting to focus on a specific subset of the full data. I could see only the group I was working on at the time and hide all other data. This filter seems to be missing from Task Manager TASK TREE area. I can filter by group in the Task List, but would like to do this in the TASK TREE area, too, but can't. Or am missing something?

Yes, you are right at the moment there is no possiblity to filter by Task Groups on Task Tree view. This feature is already added and will be released in September update.
