Software development company may need to add specific attributes to specific tasks. For example, quality assurance department can use the product for bug tracking, test case storing, etc. and testers would find useful to add such parameter as version # and build # to be easily selected from the drop down list. It will save testers’ time finding the bugs later on.

Another useful task attribute for testers is Bug Severity field which allows to categorize bugs and issues found by them during testing phase. Administrator can create a custom field of list type and enter the following options: Tweak, Minor, Major, Crash, Block, etc. After that testers and QA department head can easily group bugs and issues by severity in one click.

Also after the bug was detected, assigned to developer and analized, the developer can make a resolution regarding this bug so there is a need in custom field Resolution, which may contain the following options: Open, Fixed, Reopened, Unable to Reproduce, Not Fixable, Duplicate, No Change Required, etc. In VIP Task Manager the department head can easily see how many bugs are fixed or can not be fixed by filtering or sorting the task list.
