Direct managers, other chiefs, the colleagues, subordinates, experts of personnel services, external advisers and, at last, assessed person (self-assessment) can be involved in personnel assessment procedure. There are a lot of different methods of staff assessment. All methods of assessment can be divided into methods of individual employee assessment which, in their turn, are based on research of individual professional qualities of the worker, and methods of workgroup assessment which are based on comparison of employees' efficiency. The most widespread methods include questionnaire design and using of special estimation scales (points-scales or selection of behavior examples).
